Friday, February 9, was a very special service as we honored our Adult B’not Mitzvah Class. These ladies worked hard to achieve their goal and participated in a beautiful Shabbat services with many family and friends in attendance.

The Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation is proud to offer Bar and Bat Mitzvah instruction and ceremonies for both youngsters and adults. For information regarding the procedures for commemorating this milestone, please contact the Rabbi at 623-640-5913 or [email protected].

Other Adult Classes:

Rabbi Wiener just concluded a February series of lectures in Torah; Understanding their Origins in Talmud and Mishnah. We look forward to the next exciting series and will keep you informed of the dates.

Passover:

Saturday, March 31, marks the second Seder of Passover. The Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation welcomes all to join us in a meaningful and fun Seder experience led by our Rabbi Irwin Wiener and Cantor Ronda Polesky. Children/grandchildren are encouraged to join us – prizes to all affikomen hunters! Cost is $32.00 per adult, $12 per child. No charge for children ages three and under. The Seder will be held in the Palo Verde Country Club in Sun Lakes. Contact Susie at 480-580-1592 for further information.

Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation is a very diverse congregation with members of all ages who come from various communities around the world. The SLJC is an established reform congregation that meets at the Sun Lakes Chapel, Riggs Road and Sun Lakes Blvd., on the second Friday of the month from September through June.
