The Sisterhood Board of Directors had a virtual meeting recently to plan for many interesting activities in the fall. Our annual membership luncheon is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 15. We will combine the event with a baby shower for the Maternity Outreach for Moms Program. Veterans First has partnered with the Phoenix VA Maternity Program to assist in providing items for mothers and their newborn babies. We will also reschedule the speaker from the Phoenix Art Museum.

Because of the hugely-successful annual card party, Sisterhood was able to make donations to the following local charities: Lone Soldier Project, Sun Lakes Fire Department, East Valley JCC, Gesher Disability Resources, Neighbors Who Care, Jewish Free Loan, Arizona Stand Down, Jewish Family & Children’s Service, Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation, St. Mary’s Food Bank, and Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank. Thank you to all those who attended and to the sponsors and restaurants who donated to this charitable event.
