Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation Sisterhood news

Suzy Ziegler

The Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation Sisterhood wishes to thank all those people who made our recent Card Party and Luncheon the success it was. Sisterhood raised approximately $7,000 for our many charitable causes. In subsequent months we will be naming those professionals and merchants who contributed so generously to our function. For now, we just want to say thank you.

Sisterhood is pleased to announce that the speaker for our March meeting on Thursday, March 17 is Matthew Karlovsky, M.D., a urologist who specializes in women’s urologic issues. This meeting will start at noon, not at the usual time (1:00 p.m.) because Dr. Karlovsky has other obligations. He will be speaking on issues such as urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, vaginal mesh complications, recurrent urinary tract infections and neurogenic bladder disorders such as those from stroke, Parkinson’s and MS.

Dr. Karlovsky is double Board certified by the American Board of Urology in Urology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, a distinction held by less than one percent of urologists.

He has authored a book entitled Female Urinary Incontinence. He consults on pelvic mesh complications and is a speaker to physician and public groups, both locally and nationally.
