Pastor Vernon Meyer will be presenting a series based on Karen Armstrong’s recent book, Twelve Steps to a Compassionate Life. We all wish for a better world but we are either fearful of change or unsure of the path that will take us into a more peaceful filled world. Her book sets out a path that might help us retrain our responses and enable us to form mental habits that are kinder, gentler and less fearful of others. This series of presentations by Pastor Vernon will walk through Karen’s book with a study of compassion, empathy and mindfulness. Presentations will be held on Wednesdays, March 2, 9 and 16 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at the Sun Lakes Chapel House, 9230 Sun Lakes Blvd. (across from Sun Lakes Country Clubhouse). For more information contact Pastor Vernon at 480-895-6317.
