The Sun Lakes Lady Niners love playing golf, and the ladies enjoy taking to the links every week. The Lady Niners golf at Sun Lakes Country Club on Tuesday mornings, usually at 9 a.m., but tee times change to 10 a.m. during the colder months of December and January. The Sun Lakes Lady Niners is a fun group of ladies of all ages and golfing abilities, from beginners to more advanced levels of play. A different game is played each week based on handicap to provide everyone a chance to win.
The Sun Lakes Lady Niners hosted a tournament with the SunBird Lady Niners on Feb. 25. A total of 52 golfers enjoyed a welcome brunch, a beautiful day of golf, a delicious lunch, a basket raffle, a split-the-pot raffle, and great fellowship.
Seven Sun Lakes Lady Niners participated in a wonderful tournament sponsored by the Oakwood Lady Niners on March 11. Two of the Sun Lakes Lady Niners, Rose Gallagher and Jackie Aagaard, participated on the first and second winning teams. Several Sun Lakes Lady Niners also participated in a tournament sponsored by the Apache Wells Golf Club on March 12.
