Golf is a sport played in 206 countries worldwide by over 50 million people. It is possible that participation in golf, which is a form of physical activity, may be associated with effects on longevity, the cardiovascular, metabolic, and musculoskeletal systems, as well as on mental health and well-being. So, in addition to having fun and making friends, we are actually working on our health.
The Sun Lakes Lady Niners had a very busy March, with five days of league play. On March 2 the game was Low Putts, and the winner in Flight 1 was Irene Andersen, in Flight 2 Liz Tollefsen, and in Flight 3 Arlene Fletcher. On March 9 the game was Criers Tournament, and the winner in Flight 1 was Rose Gallagher, in Fight 2 Liz Tollefsen, and Jackie Aagaard in Flight 3.
On March 16 the game was 3 Clubs and a Putter, and there was a tie for first place in Flight 1 between Rose Gallagher and Lavone Mensink. The winner in Flight 2 was Dottie Wodraska, and Beverly Jur in Flight 3. On March 23 the game was O.N.E.S, and the winner in Flight 1 was Susan Geis, in Fight 2 Dottie Wodraska, and Celeste Dorsey in Flight 3. On March 30 the game was Cha Cha Cha, and the winning foursome was Ann Hegney, Fran Kleinsteuber, Dottie Wodraska, and Arlene Fletcher.
