The Sun Lakes Quilting Ladies continued their longtime partnership with the Sun Lakes Breakfast Lions Club (SLBLC) with their special annual Christmas donation to Neighbors Who Care (NWC). Recently, at the NWC offices, Joyce Davey, representing the Sun Lakes Quilting Ladies, presented 48 lap quilts and 24 placemats to Neighbors Who Care Executive Director Sheryl Keeme and Case Manager Bonnie Kosar for the season. This joint community project between the Sun Lakes Quilting Ladies and the SLBLC began in 2019 and, to date, more than 279 lap quilts and 170 placemats have been donated. While the Quilting Ladies do all the work, the Sun Lakes Breakfast Lions Club provides the financial support. In addition, the SLBLC provided a special donation for the holiday baskets.

“It is our longest partnership with any organization in the Greater Sun Lakes area. We are in awe of the work they do within our community and are very proud to support their work. The Sun Lakes Breakfast Lions Club (SLBLC) will always be there for them at the holidays.” That was what Jack Dreyer, president of the SLBLC, commented on the special donation the club made to Neighbors Who Care (NWC).
