Sun Lakes Reiki Circle

Catharina Cupples

Have you ever wondered what potential for healing might be hidden inside you?

Healing is a natural human capacity, which most of us never, or barely, develop. Our bodies are perpetually attempting to return to a state of balance in order to remain healthy. We either help or hinder that natural process. Reiki is a way to assist our bodies and our minds in maintaining, or returning to, balanced wellness.

The Outreach Program of the Reiki Circle of Sun Lakes offers you opportunities to learn about developing your own innate healing potentials. Reiki practitioners were present at the Sun Lakes Open House on October 11, giving brief Reiki sessions to everyone who stopped by our table. Perhaps you were one who received.

On October 25, the Unity Church of Sun Lakes participated in the Neighbors Who Care Open House. Members of the Reiki Circle were there offering mini Reiki treatments for people to experience what that healing energy feels like.

The Hadassah Women’s Organization has invited the Reiki Circle to their November meeting to give a presentation and demonstration of Reiki hands-on healing. Catharina Cupples and Lois Valleau, who co-teach Reiki training together, will discuss the history and background of Reiki, its uses and benefits. Members of the Reiki Circle will be there to share their own personal stories of Reiki healing and offering each of the women in attendance a short Reiki treatment.

Reiki is something you need to experience personally in order to understand it more fully, as words cannot convey the deep and gentle feelings of peace, contentment, comfort and relief you receive during a healing treatment.

If members of your organization want to know about the ancient art of laying-on-of hands, a healing practice known in every culture, please contact Lois Valleau at 480-883-6699, or Rina Cupples at 480-883-7747.

Rina and Lois are offering Reiki training in hands-on healing on Saturday, December 6 and Sunday, December 7 from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. both days. Call Lois or Rina for details; see phone numbers above. This course teaches you how to give healing energy to yourself or a loved one (even pets).

You are always welcome to the Reiki Circle which meets on Tuesday mornings from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in Room A2, the Ladies’ Card Room, in the Cottonwood Courtyard. Everyone is welcome. There is no fee.
