Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Posse YTD Report

Ken Hinatsu, Administration Officer, Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Posse

Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Posse has been very busy in Sun Lakes so far in 2022. For the period July 31, 2022, YTD, we have generated 3,055 patrol and Community Outreach hours in Sun Lakes. This is an increase of 32% in community duty hours, in contrast to 2021. Our patrol vehicles have logged over 16,100 miles for patrol purposes over the same period. In conjunction with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), the Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Posse volunteers and the deputies on duty provided 24/7 law enforcement coverage in Sun Lakes. Some of the notable Community Outreach events in 2022 included the following:

* American Red Cross Blood Drives

* Medical Equipment Loan Programs

* DEA Drug Take-Back Events

* Community Document Shred Events

* Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Office-MCSO Open House Event

* HOA Special Crime Prevention Events and Participation

We are grateful to the Sun Lakes community and the residents for the ongoing support throughout the year.
