Join us for our Salute to Veterans dance in the San Tan Ballroom! With Thanksgiving just around the corner, who better to give thanks for than our veterans? From the minute men to rough riders, doughboys, and GI Joes, to our brave men and women who serve today, we proudly salute you!
Come join us and show off your dance moves like it’s a USO dance. All are welcome: singles, couples, dancers, and wannabe dancers. The music, played by our own 11-piece house band, Havin’ Fun, allows for conversation over dinner or just drinks in a warm and welcoming environment. You just might find yourself swaying to a song or two.
If you are one of the few, the proud, the fortunate who can still fit in their uniform, feel free to wear it and enhance our evening. No longer able to pass uniform inspection? Wear your patrol cap, boonie hat, beret, garrison cap, watch cap, campaign hat, or service cap. Otherwise, dress is business casual or country club attire. No shorts, t-shirts, or flip flops. For ladies, long or short resort dresses or slacks are always appropriate: dress to impress (yourself).
Our house band, Havin’ Fun, plays a variety of dance music that sets the mood for a fun-filled evening. Turn an ordinary dinner into an extraordinary evening of musical mastery, entertaining dancing, tasty tidbits, and potent potables. Enjoy it all in an elegant atmosphere with a welcoming group of smiling, happy people.
All are welcome. You don’t have to be a Sun Lakes resident. Glide along to Waltz, Foxtrot, Rumba, and Cha Cha. Step it up for East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Night Club Two Step, Country Waltz, Two Step, and Line Dancing.
$10 admission per person (cash at the door). Food service starts at 4 p.m. Music and dancing from 4:30 to 7 p.m. So come join us for a night out and a chance to meet new friends. If it’s your first visit, you won’t be a stranger for long.
