The Sun Lakes Tennis Club held its annual Spring Fling at the Sun Lakes Country Club Navajo Room on March 14. Members enjoyed prime rib and all the fixings, with a great assortment of desserts following. The meeting that followed confirmed the new officers as Ed Campion, president; Dan Thorsen, vice president; Faye Haynes secretary; Paul Patterson, treasurer; Rick Kendall, tournament director.

Vice President Dan Thorsen said the match with Cottonwood was very close, and we all had a great time. He also said the meeting he had with all the tennis clubs provides us with a good group of competitive matches for next year, along with our normal interclub tournaments. Rick Kendall announced the winners of the Hot Dog Tournament on March 3: First Betty Dunn and Ed Carlstrom, second Brian Lukenda and Horst Flachsmann, third Sandy Lind and Les Schick. Congratulations to all. We are busy with tennis tournaments for the next four weeks, so everyone needs to play.
