Sun Lakes Women’s Association Update

Spring Golf-A-Rama, March 12, 2023

The members of the Sun Lakes Women’s Association had a remarkably busy first quarter serving our local communities and providing educational opportunities.

We held several estate and garage sales to benefit the local organizations that service all of our Sun Lakes community residents. A special shout-out to Becky Hodge and the team for organizing and running the sales. They did a fantastic job! Through their efforts, we raised nearly $2,500! We will not be holding any garage sales during June, July, and August. During this time, however, we will still be collecting your recycled treasure donations. Please contact Becky Hodge at 928-978-4204 or [email protected] or Vickie Brush at 630-229-7477 or [email protected] to arrange for drop-off or pick-up.

In March we held our Spring Fling Golf-A-Rama. We had a sold-out crowd of 88 golfers and raised over $5,000! The Palo Verde Golf Course and restaurant were our hosts and, as always, they did a stellar job. Many thanks go to Gloria Fronk, Jan Sporar, Karen Sauer, Jacquie Ruffino, Jessica Klebanow, and Becky Hodge for organizing the donors and sponsors and for providing event day support.

In partnership with the Cottonwood Recreation Department, the Sun Lakes Women’s Association held a seminar in March about the benefits of using CBD products. Dave Baker, founder and owner of Nature’s Bloom, educated us about the benefits of using CBD products to promote better health. The plan is to continue to bring you more informative subjects through our Speaker of the Month presentation series. We will not be holding any information/education seminars during May, June, July, August, and September. We will resume in October. These events are coed and open to all Robson Resort Community residents and other neighboring communities. For more information, please contact Jessica Klebanow at 480-729-0999.

Lastly, did you know that the Sun Lakes Women’s Association provides estate sale services to all Sun Lakes residents? We have a team ready to come in after the home has been vacated. Our team members will oversee the sale and clean-up after the sale. And, if requested, we will arrange to donate any unsold items and have them hauled away. As the Sun Lakes Women’s Association is a registered 501(c)(3), our portion of the proceeds will be considered a donation, and a receipt will be provided for tax purposes. Lastly, we are committed to selling as many of your items as we can, and for the best price possible. For an estate sale assessment, please contact Becky Hodge at 928-978-4204 or [email protected] or Vickie Brush at 630-229-7477 or [email protected].
