As we enter the busy, festive season, how do we move slowly and breathe deeply in a fast world around us? Indeed, slowing down is hard to do. Yet it is so nourishing to the aging body. An easy and gentle one-hour Tai Chi-Qigong class for mature adults is a great way to slow down and breathe deeply.

In November alone, we celebrate National Stress Awareness Day, World COPD Day, National Osteoporosis and National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month – plus, add Thanksgiving and the holiday preparation. Tai Chi and Qigong is a practice that addresses healing for all of these health challenges and more.

Imagine enjoying a “solo” slow dance! That is what we do in our easy and gentle tai chi class on Thursdays at Sun Lakes Country Club from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Drop in to the Mirror Room any Thursday morning that suits your schedule or when you want some quiet, relaxing and nurturing time! All ages and abilities are welcome, and chairs are provided to help you balance or sit and focus on your upper body and breath. The cost is $5. per drop-in class. Wear whatever shoes and clothing you are comfortable in.
