The Desert Artists Club Welcomes 2022

Remembering our Desert Artists Club gathering held January 2020

Sue Sindelar

Welcome, artists, to 2022. We have, at the Desert Artists Club, seen many changes over the past two years. It has been a challenge to keep up with unsettling times during this pandemic. Attendance in our club, as with other clubs, has been lower than usual, of course, and as we move forward in 2022, we hope to see more members returning when it is safe for them. This, of course, depends on what comes our way in regard to keeping our community safe. Health safety is a priority and reflects our respectful responsibility to each other. Let’s hope for a much healthier 2022!

The Desert Artists Club meets each Tuesday afternoon in the Ceramics Room (A-8) in Cottonwood from 3 to 6 p.m.

We are a diverse group of artists in Sun Lakes who meet to create together in a relaxing and fun environment.

We bring our own supplies and work on our own projects. We are inspired by each other’s works and talents, and enjoy sharing techniques that we have developed. We work in many mediums, including watercolor, oils, acrylics, colored pencil, charcoal, and mixed media, to name a few. We are a casual club, with no dues or meetings. Anyone may join if they live in any of the three HOAs within Sun Lakes.

If you are new to Sun Lakes and wish further information about the Desert Artists Club, you may contact me at [email protected] or 480-745-2198, and please leave a message. Feel free to drop in and see if this club is right for you on any Tuesday, except holidays.
