Unity Church of Sun Lakes is a New Thought Community. We celebrate Peace, Light, Love, Joy, and Healing. We practice affirmative prayer and positive thinking, and we support one another in living a Spirit-centered life. Rev. Jeanne MacLaughlin delivers the message. Our Sunday service is held at 10 a.m. in the Arts & Crafts Room of Sun Lakes 1 Country Club. The address is 25601 S. Sun Lakes Blvd. Directional signs guide you to the covered parking area and the meeting room. Please join us. All are welcome! If you are unable to come to our service, it will be shown again in the afternoon on YouTube. Church will be closed July and August.

These are beautiful days in Sun Lakes. The air is filled with the fragrance of orange blossoms, and new broods of baby quail skitter behind their parents. Hummingbirds and bees hover around flowers and feeders. We are so blessed to be able to see new life and nature firsthand. We feel the urge to do spring cleaning, and we straighten up, clean, and clear up drawers and closets of clothing items we no longer need. Surely someone else can benefit from what we pass on to the Sun Lakes clothing drive, which is held in April. We are grateful to those who donated clothing and blankets and are equally grateful to those who collected and delivered them to the André House where many live in tents and are exposed to the elements. We hope our donations will bring some comfort to difficult living conditions. Service is Love in Action and can be observed in numerous large and small ways. Food and clothing distribution is one of the largest, but there are small ways, too—ways in which we can all participate. Every day we can all serve by smiling at a stranger, holding a door, giving a helping hand, being kind, and listening to others with empathy and compassion. Rev. Roger Teal from the Centers of Spiritual Living has this to say about Service and Love in Action: “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” It’s simple, it’s powerful, and we can all do it.

Reiki: Meets in Room A-2 of the Cottonwood clubhouse every Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.

Unity Community: Program is closed for summer. We will be packing food bags for Matthew’s Crossing’s Meals to Grow on Tuesdays from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Open again in August.
