Unity will be on summer hiatus for the months of July and August. Our last service will be June 29 and we will be resuming September 7. We hope you will attend other New Thought churches in the area. Do have a wonderful, safe and Spirit filled summer wherever you may be.
Unity teaches us a positive way of living based on the teachings of Jesus and other master teachers. Jesse Jennings writes for the Science of Mind magazine and shares the following ideas with us. Positive thinking goes nowhere if there is no feeling attached to it. How we feel about what is happening determines the quality of our lives perhaps more than any other single criterion. Thought plus feeling equals belief and life is done unto us as we believe. Through quietly watching our feelings and the thoughts they are attached to we can decide to think and thereby feel differently. By putting feeling into our affirmations we are in the position to choose love or fear. Just think about it.
Events, classes and services are as follows:
Sunday Celebration: Our church services are held in the Arts and Crafts Room of the Sun Lakes Country Club at 9:30 a.m. Reverend Debbi Brown is our minister. Coffee and fellowship follows the service. June 29 will be our last service until we start up again September 7.
Community event: On June 22 at our regular 9:30 a.m. service we will have a World Peace Candle Lighting Service reading peace prayers and sacred scriptures from 12 major world religions. We invite the community to attend.
Christening: One year old Maggie Mae Barnes with her parents, Cory and Meagan Barnes and grandparents, Brian and Nadene Nystuen, will be christened on June 1.
Unity Explores: Plans are being laid for a wonderful fall and winter of exploring. We’ll keep you informed.

Reiki Circle: This group meets on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in Room A-2 of Cottonwood Country Club. For information call Lois Valleau at 480-883-6699.
