Unity: Hope and Faith

Unity Church of Sun Lakes is a New Thought spiritual community dedicated to living the truths taught by Jesus Christ as well as other spiritual masters. We believe in love and Oneness. Oneness in God and our brothers and sisters around the world. We meet on Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. at Sun Lakes Country Club in the Arts and Crafts Room. Rev. Jeanne MacLaughlin is our minister. All are welcome.

Unity celebrates the good in our lives. We know for every good thought and/or action, good comes back multiplied many times over. A friend may be having a troublesome issue, and we would probably say to that person, “I hope everything works out.” While this is not an inappropriate thing to say, it’s not much help. It’s like holding our breath and crossing our fingers. Whenever hope and faith are paired together, it makes for a powerful energy behind our statement. Bring faith into your statement. Another way to put it is, “Not only do I hope, but I have faith all is working together for your highest and best good. With God, all things are possible!” Miracles are happening every day. Keep your eyes open, and expect a miracle. Be willing to act on your intuition. Guidance is there when we listen.

Activities: Our Unity Explores group went to the Chandler Center for the Arts to observe an exhibit of watercolor paintings done by a Mrs. Kale, who moved here from Mumbai, India. She wrote an essay to go with each painting, telling how she felt so lonely being away from her life and culture. It was so touching, as so many people are facing that same problem, being uprooted from their former lives.

Reiki Group: Continues to meet every Tuesday morning at 9:30 on Zoom. If you wish to join us, contact Mike Schneider at [email protected], so he can add you to the Zoom list. We will be meeting in Cottonwood, Room A-2, again soon. Date to be announced.

Prayer Partners: Meets on Zoom from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday. Email Julia at [email protected] to join.
