It’s the new year, and Unity Church of Sun Lakes is taking a look at what with Divine Guidance we have lived and moved through in 2020. According to official guidelines, we followed safety regulations concerning the COVID virus and began virtual gathering by way of YouTube and Zoom. Rev. Jeanne has delivered a message and leads us in song every week. On Wednesday morning, we meet on Zoom for Prayer Partners. Prayers are sent to Silent Unity and kept for 30 days. Julia Norton is leading this group, and she will add you to our Zoom connection if you would like to join. The regular Reiki group meets on Tuesday morning on Zoom. We share concerns and intentions for each member’s healing. Both of these groups are growing in number, ministering to both the needs of the individual and the outside world. We have had our Christmas service online, as well as a Burning Bowl Ceremony on one member’s backyard patio. Burning Bowl has been a yearly tradition for our members in order to focus on what we want to release in 2020 that no longer serves us, forgive what needs to be forgiven, and replace it with positive intentions for 2021. Our hearts fill with gratitude as we see that we are still together, growing and meeting challenges. As the line of a certain song goes, “You gotta put one foot ahead of the other and lead with love.” Happy, Positive New Year to all of us!
