Unity Church of Sun Lakes is a New Thought Community. We celebrate Peace, Love, Light, Joy, and Healing. We practice affirmative prayer and positive thinking and support one another in living a Spirit-centered life. As of Jan. 1, we will begin having our church services at 10 a.m. Sunday mornings. We meet in the Arts and Crafts Room in Sun Lakes 1 Country Club. Rev. Jeanne MacLaughlin delivers our message, and L.U.T. Dennis Hubert will deliver our lesson in her occasional absence. Dennis is also a prolific songwriter and singer, and we get to hear his beautiful voice, too. The service will be shown later in the afternoon on YouTube. We welcome you!
It’s the start of the year, and if we have not done this already, let’s make this the season that we take stock of our life to determine for ourselves if we are supporting what we consider is valuable to us. Spirit has gifted us with Infinite Possibilities, and we are outwardly supported in the following ways: Worldwide Unity is the source of the Daily Word, booklets for spiritual self-help, Unity Magazine, and Silent Unity 24/7. However, you and I are responsible for making the positive changes in our lives, so let’s get growing.
If we are retelling our old story, bless it and let it go into the fire of the Burning Bowl. Next is the White Stone Ceremony. Now, be silent and ask Spirit for the WORD that is the special healing word for you personally to take forward into the next year. Soon your word will come to you. Hold it in your heart, and you will be guided on your journey to “inward” positive change. Change starts on the inside first, for we are Spiritual beings having a human experience. “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.”
Activities: Church is held on Sunday morning at 10 a.m. in the Arts and Crafts Room of Sun Lakes 1 Country Club.
Reiki: Meets in Room A-2 at the Cottonwood clubhouse at 9:30 a.m. every Tuesday and also on Zoom for those out of town or unable to join in person. To join on Zoom, email mschneider1100@yahoo and he will add you to the Zoom list.
