Unity: The Practice

Kay Davis

Unity practices a positive lifestyle. We follow the teachings of Jesus and other Master teachers by way of study, meditation and prayer. Because we know that the Spirit of God is within every one of us, we also know that there is no separation between us and we are all One.

For the month of April we have been studying Robert Brumet’s book, Living Originally. He has generously shared 10 meditations on Unity.org/Robert Brumet which is part of the experience of the book. To live originally means to be connected to the origin. Since most of us live unconsciously we have become identified with a false ego self. By using the 10 meditations we will learn to be more aware of our inner life, our thoughts, our physical reactions and our emotions and we can discover some of the filters we have placed between who we think we are and who we really are. We are cautioned against the idea that we are “getting somewhere” as that would be the ego speaking. The one thing we must do is The Practice, one of 10 unique meditations designed to create a transformation within us. This is a journey of discovery so we open ourselves up to be spiritually transformed.
