Planning for summer included our decision to continue meeting every week at our regular time to paint together. Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m., noon for early birds marks our gathering. Please come and join us if you are interested.

The gallery in our meeting room off the Cottonwood Atrium shows “Purple and Blue” until May 3. Subjects include flowers, gardens and a city nightscape. Many of the paintings are for sale; please come by and enjoy them. Strutting next are the popular “Chickens!”

We enjoyed a demonstration of “chicken washes” in which colors flow somewhat freely and unpredictably to create wonderful backgrounds for paintings planned in advance or by unexpected results.
