The Sun Lakes Republican Club will feature “What’s on My Ballot?”, at its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 6:30 p.m. in the Navajo Room of the Sun Lakes Country Club, 25601 S. Sun Lakes Blvd., in Sun Lakes. All the ballot propositions will be analyzed by speakers from AZ Free Enterprise Club and The Goldwater Institute. You will also hear from our elected officials and candidates including State Senator J.D. Mesnard, candidate for San Marcos Justice of the Peace, State Representative Julie Willoughby, candidate for State Senate, and former Mayor Kevin Hartke and Janet Weninger, candidates for State Representative.
The public is invited, including the communities of SunBird, Springfield, and Solera and all of Chandler. Please bring your friends and neighbors! Our mission is “Promoting an Informed Electorate Through Education.” Light desserts will be provided for your enjoyment.
While early ballots will have been mailed to you before our meeting date of Oct. 21, we ask that you refrain from completing your ballot until after you attend our meeting. You will be better informed after hearing from our speakers and will better understand the issues and ballot propositions. You will still have plenty of time to mail in your ballot or vote in-person on Nov. 3, Election Day!
Arizonans enjoyed the largest tax cut in history this year, with no tax on tips, overtime, or Social Security. Regarding safety, we now have the lowest crime rates in a century and a secure border again. Arizonans are realizing the benefits of electing Republican legislators during the last election. Lower prices on prescription drugs, more parental choices in education, better enforcement of law and order, and, in general, preservation of our Constitutional rights has lowered the costs of regulations which reduces poverty and enhances prosperity, as it better preserves liberty and justice. Do we still have problems to solve? Of course, there is no utopia, or perfect society, on the face of the earth. Where do most people want to live … in the United States of America. We have an amazing country to preserve, protect, and defend.
At our meeting, you will be encouraged, inspired, and informed! You will have the facts to vote your values, not based on slogans or sound bites, but based on voting records of the candidates and historical reality, not just claims and promises. You can ask hard questions and get solid information and answers. Don’t miss this opportunity to vote your ballot based on solid knowledge and truth.
Please plan to bring cash or a check to buy your tickets to our “always sold-out-early” Christmas Dinner Dance. Also, please plan to join our club for another year for just $20 per person.
We endeavor to invite all Republican candidates to attend our meetings, so you will have the opportunity to meet them before the Nov. 3 General Election. For more information, visit our web site at www.SunLakesRepublicanClub.org or contact Kurt Rohrs at 480-688-5317.
