The Arizona Fire & Medical Authority/Sun Lakes Community Assistance Program hosted an “off duty” get-together for their volunteers that respond with the firefighters and paramedics on their emergency calls here in Sun Lakes. The event, held at Sisk Park in the Palo Verde community, allowed the volunteers and their families a chance to get to know each other in a casual atmosphere. On duty fire and medical crews came by to say hello as well. “We have a few newer members, and this was a great opportunity to let them meet the rest of us at one time,” said Scott Jaeger, CAP Coordinator. Jaeger thanked executive board members Nancy Roberts, LouAnn Sedgwick and Jim Mottern for bringing it all together for a day of food and fun.
