Giving feels good

Elaine Kraemer, President CWPV Foundation

2017 was a good year for the CWPV Foundation. Our ongoing fundraising efforts with 50/50 Raffles, Amazon Smile, Fry’s Food Stores Community Rewards, Fun Walk and the Eat Drink and Be Merry Dinner Auction produced the best results in in our three-year history! We also received several generous donations from individuals and one from the Sun Lakes Women’s Association. Thank you, all!

All this generosity from our supporters and donors enabled the CWPV Foundation to give, give, give and support the projects and efforts of The Perfect Place Adult Day Services, the Chordaires Show Chorus of Sun Lakes, Neighbors Who Care and Sun Lakes Creative Engagement Partners. Awarding grants to these wonderful institutions which benefit the health, education or cultural enjoyment of Sun Lakes residents has been very gratifying and inspiring!

The CWPV Foundation wants to expand the scope of its contributions in 2018. To that end, it will begin exploring partnerships with local organizations for the purpose of contributing matching funds to their fundraising efforts! The CWPV Foundation will, of course, continue accepting individual grant applications, which can be downloaded from its website, www.CottonwoodPaloVerdeFoundation.org.

Also, in 2018, the CWPV Foundation would like to expand the size of its Board of Directors by adding two more members! We’re looking for people who are actively involved in our Sun Lakes communities, who wish to enhance the lives of all their residents and who have well-developed communication and marketing skills.

Thank you and Happy Valentine’s Day to all Sun Lakers!
