D—n the COVID-19, full speed ahead (with apologies to former Union Rear Admiral David Farragut, paraphrasing his statement said during the Battle of Mobile Bay, August 1864).

So, per HOA policy, the Lucky Shot Pool Club is permitted to hold our annual membership sign-up and Fall Pool Tournament. Meeting is scheduled for Oct. 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Phoenix Room (A-9). The Fall Tournament is scheduled for Nov. 1, 2020, to Jan. 10, 2021.

Per HOA policy, masks are to be worn and social distancing observed by all attendees at meetings and in the pool room during tournament play. The meeting room will be set up for social distancing. Members will be informed if there are any changes to HOA policy.

Club President Joe Igelmund stresses that participation is at the discretion of each member. “We will understand if some players prefer not to participate in the Fall Tournament because of the COVID-19 virus,” he said.
