Ken Hinatsu has been a volunteer with the Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Posse since 2012. He was born in Tokyo, Japan, and grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia. Ken has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and currently works full-time as an Airline Revenue Manager. Ken’s primary duties include patrolling the Sun Lakes residential communities and local businesses. He assists MCSO deputies when required with law enforcement support services and backup support. In addition, Ken is the secretary of the Sun Lakes Posse.

“Giving back to the community and making Sun Lakes a pleasant and safe place to live” is what motivates Ken. In addition to the Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Posse, Ken is a volunteer Disaster Case Officer with the American Red Cross.

Craig Lloyd, Commander of the Sun Lakes Posse, spoke to the Sun Lakes Rotary Club this month about the benefits of local patrols and its popular Medical Equipment Loaner Program. The Sun Lakes Posse conducts crime-control patrols in our residential areas and provides back-up support to Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office has a mission of “Working Together to Safeguard our Communities.” Craig has served the Posse for 20 years.
