It was a good meeting for Rich Iovino, as he was named “Lion of the Year” by the Sun Lakes Breakfast Lions Club, and later on accepted the ceremonial gavel from outgoing SLBLC President Brian Curry, as he succeeded him as president of the club. “Rich and I were both Lions back in New York, and it makes me very proud that we both have continued our volunteer service again here in Arizona,” said Curry. “I sponsored Brian back on Long Island, so it was full circle for him to sponsor me here in Sun Lakes,” added Iovino. Iovino’s “Lion of the Year” award was based on his many efforts, but especially designing and implementing the club’s website which is www.slblc.org. The club also has a Facebook page.
