Bill Townsend

The regular season came to an end on March 27 preceded by a potluck luncheon on March 26. Those who coordinated the potluck were Ann and Rich Hegney, Phyliss and Lee Ketchner, Fran and Walt Kliensterber and John and Amy Cook. A great time was had by all who attended.

The spring session results were as follows:

10:00 a.m. group: 1st Chuck and Nancy Peterson, 2nd Harold and Ruth Jarrell, Fran Marolla and Ann Harrigan

11:00 a.m. group: 1st Bob and Ingrid Jefferies and John and Amy Cook, 2nd Donna Branscom, Jean Parrish and Cirgil and Rosemary King

Thursday group: 1st Lee and Phyliss Ketchner, Walt and Fran Kliensteuber, 2nd (tie) teams of Judy and Gordon Garrett, Ray and Mary Mulay, Bob and Sharon Datnell and Dick Weiss and Egan Sorenson.

New leadership will take over for the 2014-2015 season. Ellen Williams will do the administrative work and team scheduling. Bill Townsend will do maintenance and editorial writing. Lori McCormick will be the treasurer.

On April2, 9 and 16 a 20 team single elimination tournament was held for the first time following the regular season. It was fun and will be done again as part of the bocce ball season next year. The finals consisted of the team of Rick Herzog and Bill Townsend vs. Donna Branscom and Jean Parrish. They played three close games with the team of Herzon and Townsend winning best two of three. v
