On Aug. 18, Master Gardener Kim Rosenlof will give a presentation via Zoom about harvesting and saving seeds. Formerly the president of Tempe Garden Club, Kim will provide specific information on plants and seeds that can be grown and harvested in the Phoenix area, as well as general tips for harvesting and saving seeds of various kinds.
The Sun Lakes Garden Club meets all year on the third Tuesday of the month. Members are staying connected through monthly live Zoom computer meetings and “virtual” video field trips. Members receive a 10-page monthly newsletter with photos of members’ gardens and activities. Newsletters are available on SunLakesGardenClub.org.
Members are welcome from any city and any level of gardening experience.
Club memberships are $20 per year, and a spouse or second member in the household is only $10 per year. We hope “live meetings” will resume soon. Meetings will resume at the Chapel Center (next door to the Sun Lakes All Faiths Community Church). It’s at 9230 E. Sun Lakes Blvd. N., across the street from the Sun Lakes Country Club. Live meetings start at 9:30 a.m. with refreshments and socializing, and the Zoom meetings start at 10 a.m.
