The Sun Lakes Country Club Phase 1 Library is attended by volunteer librarians Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in two shifts per day. You may find a book selection at any hour that your country club building is open, and you may check out one of our new books with your volunteer librarians during their hours of 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Some of our newest book selections are:
Sunset Beach by Mary Kay Andrews
The Only Woman in the Room by Marie Benedict
The Guest Book by Sarah Blake
Queen Bee by Dorthea Benton Frank
City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert – with a critical review by Ron Charles of the Washington Post – “Another big work of historical fiction about another independent-minded woman navigating the cross currents of cultural upheaval.” I love independent women. LOL. (bh.) Book is set in the 1940s New York theatre scene. I enjoyed this book!
Lost Roses by Martha Hall Kelly
The Pioneers by David McCullough – The Pulitzer-prize-winning historian David McCullough re-discovers an important chapter in our American past. I’m looking forward to reading this!
Neon Prey by John Sandford – If you are a Sandford fan, this is another winner!
Silent Night by Danielle Steel
Skin Game by Stuart Woods and Darnell Hall – It’s a thriller, suspense, espionage fiction and the main character is Teddy Fay.
**Attention**
We’re in need of additional library volunteers who do not necessarily need to have library experience, just individuals who enjoy helping others and are year-round residents.
If you have any interest, please contact our head librarian Doreen Taylor. Her email is [email protected] or 480-510-0952 (text only). Hope to see you at the library!
