We have fields of green, expansive skies of blue;

Parks, schools, highways for me and you

We can say to ourselves, What a wonderful life!

The colored flowers in our neighborhoods are beautiful against the sky,

As are the colors on the faces of our neighbors and friends passing by.

Seeing our people greeting others and opening doors,

Serving their community as they do more and more.

We can say to ourselves, What a wonderful life!

Our deserts, mountains and life-giving lakes

Allows for the family joys we often can take.

We can say to ourselves, What a wonderful life!

Refrain from accepting the negative today!

The politicians and media have very little to say!

Not like you and like me, most have never “worked”!

They’ve lived off their verbiage, it seems such a quirk!

We live in our land, The Home of the Free

One where we can be proud, as proud as can be!

No matter how bad things seem to be

Just look around, admire, and you will see

The natural beauty all over our land

The flora, the fauna, all under God’s hand!

When you’re down, look up at our azure inspiring skies.

Never lose hope for your future, just open your eyes!

Even with all of our struggles and strife! We always can say,

What a wonderful life!
