SunBird author and artist Arthur Norby is scheduled to present six New Adventures in Learning discussions in June and July. He will share experiences from his 50-year career in the arts, beginning with The Joy of Writing. Additional presentations include A Shaggy Dog Tale: How to Give Life to Your Life, where he will discuss writing a memoir or autobiography, and discussions about living and surviving in the world of art.
Arthur is an internationally collected sculptor and painter, with numerous public sculptures and studied art masters in Spain, France, and Italy. He has published eight novels and two non-fiction books, has owned eight art galleries, and teaches sculpture, painting, and writing workshops.
When asked to discuss his career path, he responded, “I have no idea how I got here, but it has been a great ride.”
Arthur’s New Adventures presentations will be on Thursdays at 3 p.m. on June 8, 15, 22, and 29, and July 6 and 13 at the Sun Lakes Center, 25105 S. Alma School Road. For more information, visit www.newadventures.info.
