Do Yoga with Margie

As the temperatures start to rise and you are here during the sizzling summer months, you might be starting to think about what indoor activities you can do to stay happy and healthy.

I would like to invite you to my Yoga classes every Tuesday and Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Cottonwood Palo Verde Fitness Center. I teach a Hatha Yoga Flow class that includes strength training, flexibility, and balance.

Yoga is for everyone, and especially seniors who want to stay active. It is so important to stretch and strengthen your body, and in yoga, you will also learn how to breathe efficiently to activate the relaxation response.

This is a mat yoga class that includes sitting, standing, and lying on the mat in various static/dynamic poses. It is an active class, but you can rest anytime.

If you suffer from arthritis, sore/stiff back, tight hamstrings, or anxiety and depression, yoga can help.

Yoga is a healthy, happy practice that will restore vitality and put a spring in your step, so why not give it a try this summer.
