We’re on a ‘Role’!

Golfers are driven to read the script for Fox on the Fairway.

Sun Lakes Community Theatre likes to keep things rolling along by bringing three mainstage productions a year to Sun Lakes residents. Right now, we are calling for actors and potential actors to audition for a role in our spring play Fox on the Fairway, by Ken Ludwig. Never acted? Haven’t acted since high school or college days? Well, here’s your chance to try out for a role in this comedy. The play begins with the annual Inter-Club Golf Tournament. And what better place to produce it than in Sun Lakes? All bets are off as the comedy unfolds.

Auditions will be held on Jan. 11 in the Dance Room at Cottonwood beginning at 10 a.m. Once again, director Sandy Bocynesky is stepping up to bring this play to life. The show is set to be performed on April 24, 25, and 26.

Sun Lakes Community Theatre is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is fourfold:

• To provide live theater produced by residents of all phases of the Sun Lakes communities,

• To provide specialized productions for targeted audiences,

• To create educational opportunities for residents to develop and enhance relevant skills, and

• To support the development of live theater in the surrounding community.

To that end, we offer friendship and learning opportunities for our members and those who would like to join. Learning to be comfortable performing in front of a live audience is one of those opportunities. Won’t you consider joining us and trying out for a role this play?
