Are You Ready to Reset and Recharge You?

Elise Ratliff

Join us for Restorative Yoga classes with Elise at the Sun Lakes Cottonwood Palo Verde Fitness Center.

What is Restorative Yoga? It is a gentle, calming practice designed to relax the body and mind. It involves holding a series of passive poses for extended periods, often supported by props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks. The focus is on deep relaxation rather than active stretching or strength-building. Restorative Yoga is often done to reduce stress, aid in recovery, and promote overall well-being. It encourages the parasympathetic nervous system in supporting the body to slow down, rest, and rejuvenate. It’s a great complement to the other types of workouts that you do. Blocks and blankets are provided; however, please bring a mat and feel free to bring things from home that you can use for props, such as towels, bolster, yoga strap, and/or cushions.

Classes are on Mondays and Fridays at 10 a.m. The cost is $5 per class, or prepay $20 to get five classes.

Hope to see you there!
