It will be a glorious morning with a fashion show and an inspirational speaker at the Women’s Connection on Thursday, March 13, at 10 a.m. This special program includes coffee, tea, pastries, and fruit. Gluten-free is available upon request. The admission fee of $22 (tax and gratuity included) is payable by cash or check (payable to Sun Lakes Women’s Connection or SLWC) at the door of the Oakwood Country Club Kingston Ballroom located at 24218 S. Oakwood Blvd., Sun Lakes, Ariz.

Judy Dragoo, owner of JudyWear Boutique, believes that fashion should be fun and functional. At JudyWear, you will be encouraged to explore your style with a hand-picked selection of timeless attire, jewelry, and accessories. JudyWare also offers special events, including hair tinseling. This fabulous store caters to women of all ages, professions, body types, and personalities. JudyWear just celebrated seven years of sharing a passion for style with the women of the East Valley. Judy’s shop is located at 950 E. Riggs Road in Chandler.

Our inspirational speaker, Cheryl Buffington from Mesa, has a unique story entitled “Why Life Is Like a Baseball Game.” Cheryl was a legal secretary after graduating from the Minnesota School of Business. She has volunteered for a national nonprofit in a leadership role for 34 years and has been a speaker for 30 years. She volunteers for New Hope Community, which provides food and clothing for the less fortunate and homeless.

Live music will be performed by Jeanette Cline and Roz Pederson in a Friendship and Tribute Musicale. Sheryl Haugeberg will delight us with her expertise, playing the piano during early chat and coffee time.

The Crystal Card Project will be selling their recycled greeting cards for $1 both before and after the morning program. The Crystal Card Project donates its proceeds to help victims of domestic violence.
