Message from the President
Anne Montgomery
Dear Homeowners:
It is that time of year when we begin to think about the coming season and the return of our committee members whose meetings commence in early September. The important contributions to our community that are made by our nine standing committees cannot be overemphasized. These committees, which are staffed by homeowners, are the eyes and ears of the community and are an essential element in the continual improvement and success of CWPV. The ideas that they bring to the board and the work they accomplish affect and influence all areas of our HOA. The committees: Architectural Compliance; Audit & Finance; Communications; Election; Facilities & Grounds; Food & Beverage; Golf, Recreation/Entertainment; and Safety, Security & Access, are always on the lookout for new faces and fresh ideas. If you have the interest and some spare time, please consider contributing your life experiences, talents and expertise to your community by joining one of our committees. Applications may be picked up at Homeowner Services or downloaded from our website: [email protected], in the “Homeowners Only” section. You may mail, fax or drop off the application to our Administration Center: 25219 EJ Robson Blvd., Sun Lakes, AZ 85248; Fax 480-895-3802. The deadline is September 15, 2019.
Fitness Activity Center (FAC) Update: Our contractor’s building schedule shows that August will see exterior site work to include concrete and paving, masonry site walls and site grading, installation of the electric light poles and landscape sprinklers. Interior work continues in many areas, for example: floor and shower tile, electrical, fire alarm and fire sprinkler, HVAC and plumbing trim work and signage. Check out the website for the weekly updated photos or visit Homeowner Services to keep up with interior progress. The site remains a hard-hat area.
Please meet Jim Hodge, our July Employee of the Month. Jim has been a Patrol Officer since April 2006. He currently works the mid-shift, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For a patrol officer, this is the most vital and productive shift. Jim is a professional whom all patrol officers should emulate. He is included when a new officer is being trained and is always on the lookout for ways to keep busy and aid the department. He is always on time and willing to help. Recently, he assisted our Vacation Watch Officer while another officer was on leave. Congratulations, Jim, and thank you for your service to our community!
