Document Shred Event

The document-shred line shows the enormity of the traffic at this event.

Craig Lloyd, Commander, SLSP

We had another overwhelmingly successful Document Shred event on Saturday, April 30, in Sun Lakes. This semi-annual event continues to grow, with this last event processing approximately 600 cars through the line with over 10,000 pounds of sensitive documents destroyed onsite.

Your Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Posse provided traffic control and onsite security for this event, in combination with the DEA Drug Take-Back. Once we had both of the document-shred trucks in place, we were able to run two very efficient lines (averaging approximately 30 seconds per car) to unload and process the documents into the shred bins.

I would like to personally thank the sponsors of this semi-annual event: your Sun Lakes Posse 501(c)(3), along with local business owners Amy Nelson of Keller Williams Realty, Lisa Gorton Estes of VIP Mortgage, Romy Watts of Magnus Title, Vicki Paez of Edward Jones financial, and Craig Lloyd of American Family Insurance.

This is a vital service that needs to be provided for our communities to maintain identity theft security for our residents, and your Sun Lakes Posse will continue to be a part of providing this protection.
