Morning classes are held on Mondays and Thursdays from 7:45-8:45 a.m., and on Tuesdays from 7:30-8:30 a.m. I have a training class in Tempe at 9:00 a.m. through July and August.
Afternoon classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00-5:00 p.m. There will be no classes on Monday afternoon until fall. The Monday afternoon classes have not been well attended during late May and June. Most people have gone to cooler places.
Classes are held in the Navajo Room (3rd floor) of the SunBird Golf Resort. There is no cost; donations are accepted.
If you have questions, call Paullene Caraher’s cell phone, 602-292-7858, or email [email protected]. Peggy Mottel is the contact person when I am gone, phone 480-440-9653. You can text on these phones.
Nidra Yoga is done on Tuesdays. This is a relaxing and meditative practice. Most people lie down on the mats, but you can sit in a chair. The body becomes very relaxed. The goal is to stay conscious aware, but some go to sleep for their first several sessions. You just relax and listen to my voice. The participants reported it was refreshing as well as relaxing.
A few movements are done before you lie down so your body is set for 25 to 30 minutes of rest. When the body is totally relaxed, it is more able to heal itself. This time spent is equivalent to about two to three hours of sleep.
Come a bit early to help set up the room. Bring a mat. There are some mats in the room.
