New participants are welcome. When new people come more direction is given. It was so easy to follow along. You do not have to be limber or in shape. Slapping or tapping the body is done to get the blood and energy moving. We also do a lot of joint rotations. This practice is based on ancient Asian Qigong principles and is very effective.
Most modern activities are done sitting and the legs muscles, quadriceps and hamstrings become weak. The hips also become weak and the body is becomes unbalanced. This exercise works on energizing these areas.
Come a bit early to help set up the room. Bring a mat. There are some mats in the room.
Since many of the snowbirds have left the classes are smaller. So if you have not been coming for a while please call to make sure the class has not been canceled. I usually try to phone or text members if I have to cancel and Peggy cannot do the class. I take most of August off.
