Fall ministeries offer a full schedule

Doug Ross

After the usual (Sun Lakes style) slow summer, the activities of Sun Lakes Community Church are in full swing.

Bible Studies have started; men and women meet Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. and are studying Growth in the Christian Life.

The men’s Bible Study meets every Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m.. They are selecting their own topic for study and that information is not available as I write this.

The Bible studies meet at the Church office located at 25811 S. Country Club Dr., just across from the Sun Lakes Country Club.

Sun Lakes Community Church was started 35 years ago. To celebrate we are planning a 35th Anniversary Banquet at the Sun Lakes Country Club on Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. November 2, 2014. Everyone who has ever been involved or interested in this Church is invited. For more information contact the Church office at 480-895-9147.

The founding Pastor was Rev. Mike Cappiello. His wife Mary Ellen is still active in the church and she along with other charter members will be interviewed and tell about the early efforts to get the church started.

Maddy Paschal and Ron Butler will provide a mini-concert. Pastor Hendricks will present a brief video history of the church.

Everyone is welcome to attend, and especially anyone who has previously attended or has any special interest in the church.

For more information go to our web-site at www.sunlakescommunitychurch.org or call the church office at 480-895-9147.

Sunday services are held in the Chapel across from Sun Lakes Community Church every Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
