The Fun Lakers Club has been busy planning activities for the upcoming season. The monthly dances are open to the public, but why not become a member for just $15 per year? Then you will also be invited to attend the popular Christmas Dinner Dance and all of our other special events. Check out our website www.funlakers.org to join or for more information.

Here’s what’s coming up this fall:

Comedy Show: Thursday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m.

Come laugh out loud with Zac Allen, opening; Josh Graves, feature performer; and Dwayne Perkins, our headliner. Similar to the Dance Party, we’ll have a limited dinner menu. This event is open to the public!

Dance Party: Thursday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m.

The first Dance Party of the season features the Aaron Nelson Project. It’s a Halloween theme, so you can go wild and surprise everyone with your creativity, or just come as yourself and enjoy.

Fun Feud: Saturday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m.

Have you ever watched Family Feud? You won’t want to miss this new event that our Activities Committee has dreamed up. Come be a contestant (there is a limited number of teams) or an audience member. The final winning team will win a $100 gift card to split. This event is open to the public!

Since you have your calendar out, here’s the Dance Party calendar for the year:

Thursday, Nov. 17: Splash Band. Rock out with our ‘70s Disco theme.

Thursday, Jan. 19: Thaddeus Rose Band. We’re struttin’ cowboy boots for our Western theme.

Thursday, Feb. 23: Thaddeus Rose Band

Thursday, March 16: Splash Band. ‘50s theme—got a poodle skirt?

Thursday, April 20: Thaddeus Rose Band. Spring Break/Beach theme—be creative.

Dances are held in the San Tan Ballroom at Cottonwood. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and open dance is from 7 to 9 p.m. There will be a cash bar and limited menu available.

Tickets are $10 cash at the door, or get a season pass on sale now for $50 per person for six dances.

Join the club after Oct. 1 for just $15 per person, and your membership is good until the end of 2023 and you will be eligible to attend the Christmas Dinner Dance.
