Getting to Know … New MOGA Publicity Chairman – Bruce McCorkle

Bruce McCorkle grew up in Breckenridge, Texas, served with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam, graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in marketing, and spent most of his career in the publishing business. After running half of the country, Canada, and Puerto Rico for a division of Hearst Publishing, he and his wife of 45 years, Carolyn, moved from Ohio to Sun Lakes in 2009. After living in Lancaster (Pennsylvania), Albuquerque, Boston, Portland, Chicago, and Cleveland, they are happy to be settled, hopefully permanently, in Sun Lakes. He enjoys golf, Bible studies, picking his Taylor guitar, singing, the Italian American Club, the Scandinavian Club, and will attempt to fill Steve Engler’s shoes as publicity chair for MOGA.

The MOGA Board is looking for new candidates interested in running for a board position. Please let any board member know if you are interested in running.

Nov. 1: The list of candidates will be reviewed at the MOGA Board meeting. If there are multiple candidates for any position, a paper ballot will be generated for distribution at the Nov. 10 MOGA AM event. If there are no additional candidates to the original slate of proposed officers, the MOGA secretary will cast one ballot for the election of the proposed nominees.

Nov. 10: The MOGA AM event of Nov. 10 will be our annual membership meeting. If needed, written ballots will be distributed, collected, and tabulated. Otherwise, the results of the vote will be announced before play.
