Do you have a giving heart and like to help others? Do you have extra time on your hands and would like to do something meaningful? Are you looking for ways to enrich your life while enriching the lives of others around you? Renaissance is excited to announce the launch of our new volunteer program for our Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care community, and we’re looking for you!

Volunteering is a vital part of any community offering time, skills, and purpose and helps create meaningful experiences for all those involved. Whether it is a simple task of helping someone with their mail, to walking their pets, no good deed goes left unappreciated.

Some of the greatest lessons in life are learned through those who have life experiences that are different from our own. Listening to those stories can provide insight, wisdom, and may offer a new perspective for your own life circumstances.

Another added benefit to volunteering at Renaissance is making new friends! Forming friendships with the residents of our community can be very rewarding. You may be quite surprised at how much you truly do share, whether it is the love of music or having the same birthplace or date, you never know exactly how beneficial your life could be by taking a chance and giving your time to someone in need.

Research has shown that those who volunteer has led to increased levels of physical activity, stronger social networks, and lower rates of depression and mortality rate. Therefore, besides the emotional benefits, volunteering is good for one’s health as well!
