Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) Chapter DD Sun Lakes is proud to announce the recent donation of a signed 1977 print by Ettore “Ted” DeGrazia. DeGrazia is a well-known artist with a distinctive style and national following. Once called “the artist of the people,” his colorful work depicts images of Native American children of the American Southwest and other Western scenes. The print was owned by Chapter DD charter member Lucy Everingham who is an avid art collector. Lucy recently gave the piece to Roberta Sisk, another of our charter members, who decided to pass it on to Chapter DD.

With the blessings of Lucy and Roberta, the Chapter unanimously elected to donate the print to Cottey College, a highly-rated women’s college located in Nevada, Mo. The college offers 13 baccalaureate degrees and five associate degree programs and is owned by the P.E.O. Sisterhood. P.E.O. is an international women’s organization of approximately 230,000 members from the United States and Canada, whose goal is to help women advance through education while supporting and motivating them.
