One more round of entertaining golf followed by great camaraderie with hot dogs, snacks and liquid refreshments was enjoyed by Palo Verde (PV) Couples. The Game of the Day was a Reverse Cha, Cha, Cha and we all danced around the course with our usual display of great golf skills and occasional screw ups. It is hard to have a better time than we do at Friday Couples. Our Pro Shop staff and club officers are sure that things go just right from pairings, to check-in, to the 50-50 raffles, to score posting.
Take it from somebody who knows: Sun Lakes people age more slowly than the average and, as a totally unqualified researcher, it’s because of the activity that is available at our fingertips. We have a phenomenal variety from which to choose. Sports including golf, all the racquet games, softball, swimming plus a great variety of card games, mahjong and all kinds of classes from watercolor painting to preparing charcuterie boards. If you have an interest that isn’t represented—start a club. There will be others with the same interest. This unlicensed doctor also prescribes social stimulation and some of the best is available through PV Couples. We are a large group but there is always room for more as we enjoy morning or afternoon shotguns. Come join us and age more slowly.
