March 7 was the second week of the Presidents Cup competition (net score). Diane Kruse won the overall championship with a two-day low net of 118. She was not the only winner, as five ladies in each of the four flights also won honors and some chits.

Flight 1: 1st Paddy Newton, 2nd Joann Johnson, 3rd Terry Gaube, 4th Mary Nelson, 5th Dee Monsonis and Cindy Ryan; Flight 2: 1st Arlene Davis, 2nd Jo Crook, 3rd Pat Tjosvold, 4th Billie Seiberling, 5th Jan Stuckey; Flight 3: 1st Carol Healy, 2nd Alice Barber, 3rd Susan Lamb, 4th Becky Commisto, 5th Kathy Gardner; Flight 4: 1st Mary Mentone, 2nd Judy Massey, 3rd Lori Snodgrass, 4th Pauline Corcoran and Mary Lou Jones. Congratulations to all the ladies who won and also to all participants. We had a fun celebration after golf on the Palo Verde patio.

Our next event was the Member-Member Tournament on March 14. It was a St. Patrick’s Day theme, with ladies wearing green while playing a fun and mixed-up scramble. Results will be in next month’s Splash! Our Club Championship was played March 21 and March 28. The best overall player for the year will be crowned.

Our yearly Member-Guest will be played on April 18. The theme will be Woodstock-Peace-Love-Golf. Invite your guests and get those hippie costumes assembled! It will be “Groovy.”
