Folks are traveling this spring and summer all over the world: Alaska, Mexican Riviera, Caribbean, Ireland, and Scotland by land and Costa Rica. The hot, new thing is adventure travel to the Arctic to see polar bears and south to the Antarctic to see the penguins.

Expedition ships are being built specifically for these regions, with the cruise companies providing the warm gear necessary to enjoy these chilly expeditions. We are hoping to get Quark Expeditions to either come to Sun Lakes for an early fall presentation or a Zoom meeting with them, so that folks get a better idea of this adventure travel experience. We have a couple of solo ladies booked for March 2024, and some of you may want to join them.

Norwegian is launching another new ship early Summer 2023, the Viva. Savvy Travelers has been able to secure a date and group space on this new ship for Aug. 17, 2023. We have five rooms booked. The group pricing will expire at the end of June for our very good pricing of $2,800 per person for a balcony stateroom. This ship is approximately 3,000 passengers and is dramatically different than anything we have seen with Norwegian. Great live entertainment.

There are lots of great promotions currently with Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Princess, and Celebrity. If you are thinking of getting away over the holiday, now is the time to book, as space is filling. Los Angeles to Hawaii is very popular on Dec. 22.

We are going in three days early to London and staying three additional days in Iceland. Let us know if you wish to join us.

Oct. 14, 2022 – Southern Charm eight-day tour with Globus Vacations. Pre-night in Atlanta Oct. 14 – Charleston – Beaufort – Savannah – Jekyll Island and St. Simons Island end Oct. 21 back in Atlanta – late afternoon flight. Great fall getaway.

Oct. 14, 2022 – Short Columbia River Cruise – American Cruise Lines – one night pre in Portland – four nights on the River to The Dalles, Ore., from $2,975 per person – adult beverages included – nightly entertainment. Small paddle-wheeler – 100 passengers.

Jan. 19, 2023 – Egypt with option to Jordan and Petra – 11 days Egypt, four nights on the Nile River. Approx. pricing for double $4,799 includes economy air – $5,599 single includes economy air. Intra flights are included in the price – single $3,999 excludes air if you have miles. Lots of extras included. Jordan and Petra extra $899 double and $1,199 for single. Intra air from Cairo into Jordan not included. Approx. $500 per person. We have 20 people already booked.
