Looking forward to more travel in the latter part of 2021. The Caribbean and Mexico are already open at the all-inclusive resorts. Many countries are starting to open their doors. The cruise companies are home porting in the Bahamas, Bermuda, Barbados, and other Caribbean Islands and will start cruises this summer, since the CDC is not allowing cruising currently out of the United States. Alaska appears to be shut down again for the summer, as the Canadian government does not want foreign ships in their waters.

Many companies like Tauck, Globus, and Insight Vacations, are all open and taking reservations for U.S. getaways. We are hearing that Italy will open in a month, and land tours are starting to fill many of the top hotels in Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, and Greece. There are flights out of JFK and Newark to Dubrovnik now.

Current travel: Folks are booking The Copper Canyon eight-day land tour with small groups. We have a group scheduled for March 12, 2022. Currently, 12 people are booked from Sun Lakes. If interested, contact Jeanette. Pricing is $1,895 per person based on double occupancy.

The other group cruise we have planned is for Oct. 4, 2021, on Oceania Cruises, Lisbon to Venice. This is the artist series, with gratuities and specialty dining included, along with lectures and mosaic class with Stan Price and Tami Bogdanoff. Lots of special events and private tours. We have 20 people currently booked on the Marina for this group cruise. Call Jeanette for more details.

April 24, 2022—American Queen Steamboat Company—Sailing Memphis to New Orleans. Nine days, eight nights. Includes one night in Memphis. Thirty-eight people have already booked. Hosted by Patty and John Kear.
