Phyllis Prysock

Sew-N-Sews met May 11 for the last time before our summer break. We installed new officers for the next two years. Our new officers are President Phyllis Prysock, Vice President Patty Hutson, Secretary Ann Barberg, and Treasurer Janet Rogers. We thank all for volunteering, and a special thank you to all of the committee members who have volunteered to help out. Our success depends on our volunteers working together as a team.

As a thank you, the outgoing board and committee members were presented with tote bags decorated with a sewing machine and Sew-N-Sews. What a fun gift, and it was appreciated by all. Thanks to all our team for making the last few years successful, despite the pandemic.

Show & Tell was outstanding, as always, and members adopted many items of fabric, yarn, and patterns that will inspire many summer projects to be displayed in the fall.

In anticipation of our Christmas in July Workshops, door prizes were Christmas fabric. We will be sending out more info to members with the Christmas in July dates and projects. Planned are reindeer decorations, placemats, coasters, Christmas tree napkins, ornaments, towel scarf, and rope bowl. These will be fun projects for us to get together during the summer.

Although we will not be sending out newsletters during the summer months, we will be sending email updates to our members. We will have our scheduled time in the Sewing Room all through the summer, even though some of our groups will not be meeting on a regular basis. We will be sending an update with more information on which groups will be meeting.
